Section 01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or placing an order with PhantomStage 5.1, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use this service.

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and PhantomStage 5.1 regarding use of the service and supersede any prior communications or agreements.

Section 02

Description of Service

PhantomStage 5.1 is a private audio conversion service that processes client-supplied stereo FLAC audio files into custom 5.1 surround sound FLAC files for personal home theater playback.

The service includes:

• Music-first stereo to 5.1 FLAC upmixing using advanced processing techniques
• Client-selectable surround style (Audiophile, Immersive, or Cinematic)
• Client-selectable bass preference (Natural or Deep)
• 32-bit float internal processing with 24-bit FLAC output delivery
• A basic channel report and safety check with each delivery
• Private and secure delivery of completed files to the client only

PhantomStage 5.1 does not sell, distribute, produce, stream, or provide access to music, audio recordings, or copyrighted content of any kind. We process only files provided by the client.

Section 03

Client Eligibility & File Ownership

To use this service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Legally own the audio files you submit, or hold explicit permission from the rights holder to request this conversion
• Use the converted files in accordance with the rights you hold over the underlying content

By placing an order, you represent and warrant that you own the source files or have legal authorization to request their conversion. PhantomStage 5.1 reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order if there is reasonable cause to believe this representation is false.

Section 04

Copyright & Intellectual Property

PhantomStage 5.1 respects intellectual property rights and expects clients to do the same.

The following are expressly outside the scope of this service:

• Official studio releases, multitrack remixes, or label-licensed surround mixes
• Dolby Atmos encodes, DTS masters, SACD releases, or any format-licensed audio
• Music or recordings that the client does not own or have rights to convert
• Files intended for distribution, resale, or public performance without appropriate rights

The converted output files remain the property of the client, subject to the intellectual property rights held by the original rights holders of the underlying music. PhantomStage 5.1 claims no ownership over the content of the files processed.

The processing methodology, software, configurations, and workflows used by PhantomStage 5.1 are proprietary and may not be reverse-engineered, copied, or reproduced.

Section 05

Permitted & Prohibited Use

Permitted:

• Converting files you legally own for private, personal home theater playback
• Converting files for which you hold the necessary rights for other uses (e.g., content creators with licensing rights)
• Requesting conversions as gifts to others, provided the recipient legally owns the source material

Prohibited:

• Submitting files you do not own or have permission to convert
• Distributing, uploading, sharing, or selling converted files publicly without holding the rights to do so
• Using the service for commercial purposes without prior written agreement
• Attempting to circumvent, abuse, or exploit the service in any way
• Submitting malicious, corrupted, or harmful files

Section 06

Orders, Payment & Delivery

All orders are subject to acceptance by PhantomStage 5.1. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.

Pricing is as published on the website at the time of order. Prices are in US Dollars and are subject to change without notice, though confirmed orders are honored at the price agreed at time of purchase.

Turnaround times are estimates and not guaranteed. Single Track Preview and Standard Album orders are typically completed within 5–7 business days. Premium Album orders are prioritized but may take longer due to the additional review and revision process.

Delivery is made privately and directly to the client via secure file transfer. PhantomStage 5.1 is not responsible for files that cannot be delivered due to client-provided errors in contact information.

Completed files are retained for up to 14 days post-delivery. Clients are responsible for downloading and safely storing their files within this period.

Section 07

Revisions & Satisfaction

Premium Album orders include one full revision pass at no additional cost. To request a revision, the client must provide specific, actionable feedback within 14 days of delivery.

Standard Album and Single Track Preview orders do not include revisions as standard. If a delivered file contains a technical defect (e.g., corrupted file, incorrect channel mapping), we will correct it at no cost.

Because audio conversion involves subjective preferences, we do not offer refunds based solely on personal taste. We encourage all new clients to begin with the Single Track Preview to confirm the service meets their expectations before ordering a full album.

Section 08

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PhantomStage 5.1 shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of this service
• Loss of data, including loss of source files submitted by the client
• Any legal consequences arising from a client's unauthorized use of copyrighted material
• System failures, delays, or interruptions beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability to any client for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order in question.

Section 09

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will meet all subjective expectations of every client
• The results will be equivalent to an official studio surround release
• The service will be available without interruption at all times

Audio conversion results depend significantly on the quality, dynamic range, and character of the source file provided. Files with heavy dynamic compression, excessive limiting, or poor recording quality may yield more modest spatial improvements.

Section 10

Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PhantomStage 5.1 operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of the service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith communication. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable law.
